Ynot Italian’s Ynot Wednesday, sponsored by Southern Auto Group, returns for the sixteenth season! This outdoor summer concert series will take place on the Sandler Center Outdoor Plaza from June 12 – August 28, 2024, every Wednesday from 5pm – 9pm.

2024 will feature an exciting line-up of local bands, with the return of popular groups like The Deloreans, BrassWind, and Party Fins, and two concerts from Ynot Wednesday favorite Buck Shot.

Over twelve weeks, visitors will enjoy a musical panorama of live, local bands showcasing a diversity of genres from pop, country, big brass, Motown, rock, jazz, and more. Alongside free music, guests can purchase food, water, and soft drinks from title sponsor Ynot Italian, who will be serving up delicious pizza, sandwiches, and gelato all season long. Beer, wine, and craft cocktails will also be available to purchase.

Guests may also interact with Ynot Wednesday’s many sponsors and vendors, including Sinclair Communications, Southern Auto Group, Armada Hoffler, APEX Entertainment, High Noon, and more.

Feeling the summer heat? Visitors may venture inside the Sandler Center to cool off, visit the restrooms and bars, or take a stroll through the public art gallery displayed on the second and third-floor lobbies. The Kids Craft Corner in the Miller Studio will also be open for families to enjoy make-and-take art projects and activities*.

Broadberry Entertainment Group, in partnership with Chartway Arena, announcing Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit with support from Alejandro Escovedo at Chartway Arena on September 19th, 2024. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Isbell is fresh off the release of his latest album, Weathervanes. The record features the rolling thunder of Isbell’s fearsome 400 Unit, who’ve earned a place in the rock ‘n’ roll cosmos alongside the greatest backing ensembles, as powerful and essential to the storytelling as The E Street Band or the Wailers. They make a big noise, as Isbell puts it, and he feels so comfortable letting them be a main prism through which much of the world hears his art. He can be private but with them behind him he transforms, and there is a version of himself that can only exist in their presence. When he plays a solo show, he is in charge of the entire complicated juggle. On stage with the 400 Unit, he can be a guitar hero when he wants, and a conductor when he wants, and a smiling fan of the majesty of his bandmates when he wants to hang back and listen to the sound.

With Just Like That…, her twenty-first album and her first new release in more than six years, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bonnie Raitt continues to draw on the range of influences that have shaped her legendary career, while creating something that speaks to the circumstances and challenges of these unprecedented times.

The title comes from a line in one of her new original songs (“Just like that your life can change”), which seemed especially fitting “because there’s never been a time that made me look around and say, ‘Nobody saw this coming’—where all of a sudden, everything shifted.”

Things shifted again at the 2023 Grammy Awards, when Raitt was honored with three trophies for her work on Just Like That…—in the categories of Best Americana Performance, Best American Roots Song, and Song of the Year for the album’s title track. The triumphant night proved yet again that Bonnie Raitt remains one of today’s most powerful artists.

Based in Los Angeles, the group progressed their sound over the course of five full-length albums, Gorilla Manor [2009], Hummingbird [2013], Sunlit Youth [2016] Violet Street [2019] and Time Will Wait For No One [2023]. In the span of one year, the band performed twice on Jimmy Kimmel Live! For the first performance they were accompanied by Sharon Van Etten playing “Lemon feat. Sharon Van Etten” off the Sour Lemon EP. They closed out 2021 with a performance of Roxy Music’s “More Than This” from Music From The Pen Gala 1983, an EP coinciding with their appearance in the Apple Original Series The Shrink Next Door starring Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell. Local Natives have received praise from Pitchfork, Consequence of Sound, The Guardian and many more.
